Jillian Sullivan was born on a property in the New England Ranges in 1952. She was raised in a horseriding family and has been riding horses since she was 18months old.Jillian broke in her first horse at 11 years of age and is still breaking them in today.

As a young woman Jillian keenly participated in a variety of horse sports including polo, campdrafting and cutting.

On meeting her husband Steve, they married and moved to the Coonamble district and ran a 6,500acre mixed farming property.

In 1988 Jillian and Steve began importing Gelbvieh Cattle from America and proceeded to show them successfully from Melbourne to Rockhampton.

After 25years Jillian and Steve decided to sell their property and follow their dreams.

With her two daughters forging their own paths - one being the highest ranked female polo player in Australia and the other at University, Jillian wanted to share her love for riding horses, droving cattle and living like the stockmen and women did 100 years ago.

Therein lies the concept of Leconfield Mountain Cattle Drives

Leconfield Mountain Cattle Drives has been operating successfully for 11 years . The emphasis has always been on Natural Horsemanship and this is achieved using Natural Horsemanhip techniques.

Jillian has realised her greatest dream by forging a much closer  understanding  and trusting relationship with her horses.
